The role:

What you will be doing as a Fostering and Adoption Social Worker

• Assess whether families are suitable for fostering or adopting children.
• Find long or short-term fostering placements for children who come into care.
• Find permanent new families for children who can't go home for whatever reason.
• To provide support, counselling, and therapeutic interventions to adoptive families.
• To assist the foster carer in their task of providing care to a child in care.
• Achieve the best outcomes for our children and families and to sustain them in their communities.
• Undertaking statutory duties in accordance with National Fostering Standards and Regulations
• Have a good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.

The successful candidate:

What you will need to be a successful Fostering and Adoption Social Worker

• HCPC registered
• UK drivers licence
• Minimum 1-year experience
• Social work degree or an equivalent qualification
