?You have spent the past few years studying to become a teacher. The final year is so busy. You have to undertake teaching practice, assignments, and sit exams, but you are also preparing supporting statements, drafting a CV, and not forgetting the hours spent completing local authority job applications. BUT this will be your NQT year and you are so excited!

The reality then sets in. Wow! This is a competitive industry and you have not yet secured a position. The feelings of disappointment and upset are real. Many NQTs are taking to Twitter to seek reassurance from others. You are disheartened but you are not alone!

?

So what are your options for your NQT year?

If you are a newly qualified teacher and you haven't yet secured a permanent teaching position there are still so many opportunities for you in the form of Supply Teaching. Vetro Recruitment is proud to be an NPS Framework Approved Partner. We can support you with the completion of your NQT year by providing all forms of teaching work, whether day-to-day teaching, mid-term placements, or full-time, long-term roles. All of these placements can be logged towards completing your NQT year and you’ll be paid at the full Teacher rate of pay for each and every day.

?

As well as this there are so many other benefits for working as a Supply Teacher:

  • Experience. Working across a variety of schools, age groups, and learning styles enhances your skills and experience to support your journey to securing a permanent role.

  • Understanding different classroom/behavior management policies. Working with children from all ages and backgrounds teaches you coping strategies and various approaches to different behaviours.

  • Confidence building. The experiences and learnings from Supply Teaching will give you the confidence you need to take on your own class permanently.

  • Flexibility. You can work the hours that suit you, and the schools that you prefer. If there is a school you do not want to teach at, you can simply decline the work.

  • Relationships. Working within a school can cement relationships and place the stepping stones towards a permanent job offer.

We are here to support you through your NQT induction year and to help you achieve your ideal role in Teaching. A partnership with Vetro Recruitment not only supports you with teaching work at excellent rates of pay, but the team is highly experienced and knowledgeable to help you with CV writing, interview tips, ongoing training for your CPD, and we try to have fun too.

Whether you are looking for experience across Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, or SEN Schools, we have some amazing full-time, long-term placements available for September. We would love you to join the Vetro family!
